After attending Summer 6.0, we hope students walk away with a better understanding of who God is, their identity in Christ, and how God uniquely created them. RSVPing is 100% optional. If a friend decides to come along day-of, just bring em’ along. Each night of Summer 6.0 is unique some come to a few or all!

Cooking For Good – Blackhawk Downtown comes alongside our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. Once a month, they will prepare a meal in the Upper House industrial kitchen that will be dropped off and served to guests at The Beacon.

The Beacon homeless day resource center provides community solutions to help men, women, and children who are experiencing homelessness in Dane County, Wisconsin. They are committed to providing services that address the causes of homelessness in an environment that allows people to feel welcome, safe, and respected. Guests have access to resources and professional staff to assist them with housing, employment, mental health, and substance abuse counseling; as well as services that help restore their dignity such as showers and laundry facilities.

Cooking For Good – Blackhawk Brader Way comes alongside our neighbors who have experienced and fled domestic abuse. Once a month, we prepare a meal in the Blackhawk Brader Way industrial kitchen that will be dropped off and served to guests at Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS).

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) works to make Dane County, WI, a safer, more just, more equitable place for people who have experienced domestic violence, their children, and the people who love them. They offer a wide array of crisis intervention and community education/prevention programs, including a 24-hour Help Line, programming for children from violent homes, legal advocacy, support groups, and emergency safety planning. DAIS is also the only domestic violence shelter in all of Dane County.

Join us for a summer gathering to share good food and meet new people! Bring a dish to share. Please sign up for the dish you’re bringing using the link in the registration confirmation email. For those who are interested in playing pickleball, we will also have pickleball courts reserved for us after the picnic (2-4 pm). Please bring your paddles and balls if you have any!

Celebrate summer and the end of the school year with fun and games, free Kona Ice, and cold-brew coffee out on the East Lawn after morning services.

Join our Blackhawk Fitchburg community for a summer picnic at McKee Farms Park. The event starts at 4:30 PM with food being served at 5:00 PM. Blackhawk will provide herb roasted and fried chicken as the main dish and ask attendees to bring sides to share. There will be lawn games, face painting, music, and an opportunity to connect with the Blackhawk Fitchburg community. Please note that there is limited seating at the picnic tables, so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets.
