Beneath the Surface
So much of our lives happens at the surface: habits we manage, patterns we try to change, and resolutions we hope will finally stick. But Jesus invites us to pay attention to what’s going on deeper inside of us. Beneath our behaviors are the quiet motivations, hidden hurts, and heart-level beliefs that shape who we’re becoming. Over the next five weeks, we’re going to pay attention to what’s going on beneath the surface and look honestly at five struggles that touch every one of us: pride, guilt, jealousy, anger, and greed, and the freedom Jesus offers when we face these places with honesty, grace, and hope.
Whether you’re brand new to church or have been following Jesus for years, this is a series for all of us. We all have heart issues. And we all have a God who loves to heal and restore what’s hidden beneath the surface.
