Blackhawk Kids offers fun and relevant programming for kids, birth to fifth grade. Each Sunday we invite kids to learn about God in a way that’s just right for them.
WHAT TO EXPECT //
BABY
Birth to 18 Months
We want these little ones to know BKids is a place that is safe, welcoming, and fun. We strive to show them God’s love.
TODDLER
18 Months to 2 Years
In Toddler, kids will learn more about God through play, hands on activities, worship time, and simple Bible lessons.
WONDER
Preschool to Kindergarten
In Wonder, kids will engage their curiosity about God through play, hands on activities, worship time, and simple Bible lessons through both large group teaching and small group conversations.
DISCOVER
First to Third Grade
In Discover, kids will explore God’s character and His promises by digging deeper into the Bible through large group teaching, worship, small group conversations, and hands on activities.

What’s Happening
Preschool Open Play
Tuesdays, 9-11 AM | Brader Way
Come and play. For children age 5 and under with their parent or caregiver to have an open space to run around, play with other kids, and make some new friends. Bring your riding toys and outdoor games.
BKids CONNECT Family Gatherings
Sundays | All Sites (dates & times vary by site)
BKids Connect offers a time for families to connect, play games, and build community. Families, bring your kids for snacks, fun, and a time to connect with other parents and families.
Downtown and Fitchburg Families
BKids will be hosting three Family Gatherings a year, all of which are open to families with kids birth-5th grade. These gatherings will occur BETWEEN services (~10-10:45 AM) so families from both services can connect.

Brader Way Families
Brader Way will continue to have monthly gatherings by age/grade. These gatherings will occur AFTER each service (~9-9:30, ~10:30-11:15 AM, & ~12:15-12:45 PM).

- December 13 | Launch (Grades 4-5)

We are also looking for families to help set up and host these events.

Talking About the Gospel
Talking about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection may lead to some questions. Our Gospel resource guide has some simple language to help you have that conversation.
What is Communion?
If your child has placed their faith in Jesus and him alone, they are welcome to take communion. Our Communion resource guide helps your family talk through this meaningful step together.

Safety & Security
The safety and security of kids on Sundays is of the highest importance to our team.

- Families will use a secure three-part-nametag check in/check out system each week
- All Blackhawk Kids volunteers have an interview, background check, and reference checks prior to serving
- Volunteers and kids are never alone in a one-on-one setting
- Volunteers receive emergency preparedness training prior to serving
- Volunteers receive ongoing training opportunities specific to their role throughout the year
- Blackhawk Kids follows CDC guidelines for indoor youth settings (kids under age 12).

We want to help every kid take their next step in faith. If you think your child would benefit from additional help on Sundays or with help from a one-on-one volunteer includer during Blackhawk Kids programming, let’s start the conversation! Food Allergies
Keeping kids safe is one of our highest priorities. All rooms are nut free and we are not offering food during kids programming at this time. However, we ask that you complete this form (one per child) with specific details we should know about your child’s food allergies so we can make sure your child is safe and our volunteers and staff are equipped each time he or she enters our rooms.
