Chris Dolson

Teaching Pastor (Pastor Emeritus)

Chris Dolson began his ministry at Blackhawk in July 1994. After retiring as Senior Pastor in June 2021, he started his role as Pastor Emeritus in January 2022. Prior to Blackhawk, he pastored a church in Shreveport, LA, for 10 years.

Originally from Indiana, Chris has a B.S. from Indiana State University, where he majored in Biology and competed as a gymnast. He is a proud member of the Indiana State University Athletic Hall of Fame. Chris received his Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, where he studied under Haddon Robinson. Chris is on the Board of Directors for the Steve and Laurel Brown Foundation and is a co-founder of Didasko Seminars, a ministry designed to
help pastors become better preachers.

Chris and his wife, Becky, have two grown children and two grandchildren. Chris enjoys canoe trips in Canada and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
