Christmas
At Blackhawk
Tuesday, December 23 & Wednesday, December 24
Whether you’re celebrating, searching, or simply curious—you’re welcome here this Christmas. Join us at our Brader Way (Middleton), Downtown, or Fitchburg locations, or online, as we celebrate the hope, joy, and peace of Jesus’ story together.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each service lasts about 60 minutes and includes familiar Christmas songs and a short message about the real story of Jesus’ birth. It’s designed to be meaningful whether this is your first time exploring faith or you’ve been walking with Jesus for years.
Kids programming for birth through kindergarten is available at services marked with an asterisk (*) below.

Do I need to get there early?
We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early, especially for Christmas Eve services, which tend to fill up. This gives you time to find parking, grab coffee, drop kids at check-in if needed, and settle in before the service starts. Our team will be ready to welcome you and help with any questions.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable! You’ll see everything from jeans and sweaters to dresses and button-downs. There’s no dress code, and we genuinely mean that. Come as you are.
What about parking?
Brader Way & Fitchburg
As you arrive, the Parking Team will welcome you, assist you in parking, and point you to our main entrance.
Downtown
Several UW campus parking garages offer free parking after 4:30 PM, and street parking throughout downtown is free after 6:00 PM. You’ll also find pay-on-exit ramps on Lake Street and Frances Street, plus a heated underground ramp directly below Upper House.
What about Kids?
Services marked with an asterisk (*) offer Blackhawk Kids programming for birth through kindergarten, with age-appropriate fun, music, and the Christmas story. Everyone is invited to check their kids in, whether you’re a regular, it’s your first time, or you’re just visiting for Christmas. Pre-register to make drop-off even faster. Pre-register here >
Older kids are welcome to sit with you in the service. We promise it won’t be boring—the music is engaging, and the message is accessible for all ages.

Next Steps Podcast
This season on the Next Steps Podcast, we’re entering into Advent together. We will explore what Advent is, why it matters, and how to celebrate it. We’ll also hear from worship leaders as they guide us through the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. Whether Advent is familiar or brand-new, we’d love for you to journey with us.

For Kids and Families
Our Christmas Countdown packet is designed to help your family prepare your hearts together throughout December. This year’s packet includes an interactive daily reading plan and a new set of five Advent ornaments, each with family discussion questions to spark meaningful conversations around your tree.
Advent Conspiracy
During the Christmas season, we join a movement called Advent Conspiracy—an invitation to pause, remember God’s generosity in giving us Jesus, and respond by being generous to the world around us.
Blue Christmas
Tuesday, December 16, 7 PM | Brader Way
The holiday season can feel heavy for all kinds of reasons: grief, homesickness, financial strain, difficult relationships, illness, anxiety, depression, or simply carrying the weight of a hurting world. Blue Christmas is a service of lament that makes space for the full range of what we’re holding. Whether you’re walking through something hard or just longing for a quiet, honest moment in the midst of the season, you’re welcome. Join us as we bring our burdens to God and remember his comfort and hope.
Worship Where You Are
Sunday, December 28 | Online
No In-Person Services at Any Site
We will NOT be holding services at ANY of our locations. Instead join us online for something we do called Worship Where You Are, a short time of musical worship with a message for the new year. This will be on demand anytime starting on Sunday, December 28 which you can find on our Watch page or YouTube channel.
