Child Dedication

Child Dedication is an exciting and significant moment in the faith life of a family. We are excited to come alongside you as you begin this journey.

Child Dedication is a chance for you, as a parent, to publicly commit to raising your child to know and love God. It’s also an invitation for friends and family to step into your child’s faith journey alongside you, and a moment to partner with the church in that calling. At Blackhawk Church, Child Dedication services are held throughout the year at all of our locations.

Ready to Take that Step?

Before participating in a Child Dedication service, we ask that you attend our Child Dedication class. It’s an opportunity to learn and share with other families who are on the same journey. In the class, you’ll discover why we dedicate children rather than baptize them, how to build a community of support around your child, and how to write a blessing that will guide your parenting for years to come.
